We are very grateful to Amy for the postpartum support with our first baby. Amy became the 3rd most important person in our daughter’s life after mom and dad. She is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, our daughter immediately felt comforted and soothed in her hands. She went above and beyond offering tips and solutions that work and helping me become more calm and confident as a new mom. I have no hesitation to recommend Amy to any new family. She is awesome!

Amy worked with us as a night doula for the first 6 weeks with our newborn. Amy is AMAZING!! As a new mother, I was anxious and nervous about just about everything. Amy is incredibly professional, knowledgeable in infant / postpartum care and caring / warm!! Our entire family, but especially our baby boy were in the absolute best hands under her care. Amy took excellent care of our son Max (allowing me to get much needed rest!) and was a huge support for me in my new mom / breast-feeding journey and just a pleasure to spend time with (at all hours of the night!). Amy brings a truly perfect blend of expertise / insight, warmth / care, adaptability / flexibility. I really feel she was instrumental in setting our entire family up for success in the early days of new parenthood.

Our baby was a monster before Amy arrived. Now, he’s an angel. Coincidence? I think not.

— New Dad

I 100% give Amy credit for setting me up for success in the first week. Thanks to her persistence and guidance, we surpassed birth weight by my daughter’s first prenatal visit, received numerous compliments from Kaiser’s lactation check-up, and have optimized operations at home to make the division of labor not just bearable, but well-greased, between my husband and me. She’s also very experienced working with families of various ethnic backgrounds (and challenging family dynamics). Beyond her practical advice, her background as an early child educator is FASCINATING, and I can see her magic at work as she applies what she knows to personalizing the interactions she has w/ my newborn. Also did I mention that she really cares? The first night she came over, it felt like I was welcoming an old friend to sleep over. I tell all my friends she’s like my Mary Poppins.

We hired Amy as a sibling doula in anticipation of our second child being born and I cannot recommend her enough. As a sibling doula, Amy was on call to come be with our 3.5 year old son when our daughter was born. Our daughter ended up being born during school hours so we were grateful for Amy’s flexibility in instead coming to be with our family when we brought baby home. She was such a blessing! Amy helped get every one of us comfortable and happy – from talking through emotions and ideas about new baby sister with our pre-schooler to cooking us all meals to making me a cozy place to nurse through the night and waking me for medications. Amy was a loving, calm, and confident presence in our home. She even took wonderful photos for us of baby coming home and our first day all together as a family of four. Amy is incredible!

We’re so glad to have found Amy as our postpartum night doula. When I got home from the hospital, I was so tired and stressed that I couldn’t imagine waking up every two to three hours every night to nurse my newborn daughter. Amy jumped right into action and literally held me up when I was too tired to function. She sat with me during these first few nights, provided the encouragement and support that I needed. She even brought a little notebook and wrote down everything the pediatrician had asked for so I didn’t have to worry about one additional thing. She also made me overnight oats, lactation tea and brought me snacks during the night without asking questions where she could find things while always considering my dietary preferences. Amy held my daughter, burped her and helped her fall asleep when she only wanted to sleep on a person. And when Amy didn’t know the answer to a question I had she always made sure to look up evidence-based information and reassured me that I am doing all the right things. She was so lovely to chat with when I was awake in the middle of the night and I got the rest I needed because I knew my daughter was safe with her. I also appreciated how careful she handled my cats, Amy always greeted them when she arrived and we joked that my cats probably believe that she is their doula. Everyone loved her and we really enjoyed her presence.

What can I say about Amy, except that she’s heaven-sent? She’s incredibly warm, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and brings such a sense of calm with her whenever she enters a home. She was there the day we brought our son home from the hospital, and helped us find our footing as parents – assuring us, teaching us, guiding us as we struggled and cheering us on when we felt overwhelmed or exhausted. I truly believe that I am the mother I am because of her and I can never thank her enough for that.

Being a first time parent is hard. It was scary for me and beyond stressful for my wife. So much new responsibility literally over night! That’s where Amy comes in. We interviewed Amy and immediately felt a connection: Not only was she sweet, thoughtful and sincere, she was incredibly qualified. To find someone that had solid credentials around early childhood development, then spent her entire life caring for children as a nanny, then in preschools, all the while successfully raising children of her own – it felt like a miracle combination. Even knowing all that, Amy far exceeded our expectations. Amy doesn’t just know what needs to be done. She knows how you’re feeling every moment along the way. She’s intuitive and an amazing listener. She’s a supporter and a coach. She knows when to do, and when to have your back while you do. The best advice I can give about Amy: If you’ve spent just a few minutes with her and it feels right, I can promise you it’s even more right than you can imagine.

Amy played such a helpful role in my daughter’s first few months. We felt assured that she was with our baby each night. Our daughter benefited from us being able to have nights of high quality sleep. I am so glad I found her.

When I reached out for doula support, our lives were upside down. We knew we were late looking for someone. Our twins had been in the NICU for a couple of months, and we had just lost one of them. We were heartbroken and exhausted. Amy, who had a pretty tight schedule already, immediately got on board and worked out a plan for us with a colleague and gave us the respite we so badly needed. Her calming soothing presence put our anxious minds at ease, and we were able to get much needed rest once our baby boy came home. I will never forget those early weeks and the care and attention she gave to our family and the connections she made for us once her schedule no longer allowed her to continue with us. We were extremely well looked after and I miss her presence in my home dearly.

Amy helped my husband and I with overnight and daytime care for our newborn son, from 1 month to 3 months old. We were lucky to catch her with some last-minute availability in her schedule, as we hadn’t planned ahead for finding a night doula, and we were really feeling the sleep deprivation and needing some extra help. Amy took excellent care of Aiden, and during our daytime sessions she also provided us with expert advice and guidance on caring for and feeding Aiden. While we weren’t breastfeeding, and thus didn’t have some of the more complex issues that some families face, we still really appreciated Amy’s help. Our son is doing great and continues to thrive, thanks in part to Amy’s help!
